This revolutionary, spherical powder was introduced by Hodgdon in January of 2012. This extremely versatile rifle propellant was developed as a copper fouling deterrent as it incorporates in its formula CFE or Copper Fouling Eraser, an ingredient initially used by the military. The resulting powder produces longer periods of consistent accuracy with less barrel cleaning required for many popular cartridges such as the 223 Remington, 22-250 Remington, and 308 Winchester. This powder is ideal for the Match, Varmint, and AR shooters.

John –
This powder works great in my powder measure I am very happy with the performance in my rifle.
Pahnah –
I use it to reload several different rifle calibers with consistent results and very easy to use in Hornady Lock-N-Load AP.
John –
I use this powder for my 223 loads. Haven’t had any problems with this. Only thing I noticed from other powders is it uses more grains than other Powders to get the same FPS velocity. Which isn’t too much of big deal, but it’s something I noticed.
cajun –
The CFE223 is my #1 go to powder for reloading the 223s. I do use 3 or 4 other powders for reloading 223s, but for consistency, even measuring and economy I always keep CFE223 close by and on hand. Been reloading handguns now for over 30 years but when I got into reloading the 223 about 4 years ago the dealer referenced this as the first powder I should use. And I’m sure glad he did.
Ritchie –
I favorite powder for my smk bthp 69 and 77 grain bullets
