Description
Remington Large Rifle Magnum Primers #9-1/2M Box of 1000 (10 Trays of 100)
Remington Large Rifle Magnum. Within every Remington primer is a group of subcomponents assembled to exceptionally tight tolerances. Primer cup dimensions are controlled to .0001″, and the priming mix is specially formulated for consistent ignition with a wide variety of powder types. Primers are tested for reliability from -20 degrees F to +150 degrees F. The unique tripod anvil design creates a larger strike area with maximum sensitivity, even with off center firing pin strikes.

Used to believe long ago that Federal primers were untouchable in terms of performance. Since switching to Remington primers my accuracy is better, SD is less, velocity has improved and primer pockets stay tighter longer. I load for virtually all types of firearms including extreme long range shooting.

I bought a 1000 pack carton of these primers back in the late 70’s for loading my 264 Mag and they are still just as powerful and reliable as when I bought them. The shelf life on these primers is just unbelievable (30+ years old) and no squibs or loss of accuracy or reliability. So don’t be afraid to buy extra when you are ordering in order to justify paying the hazmat fee. I have also used these in 44 Mag pistol rounds (after deepening the primer pocket on the pistol cases) and have reliable ignition on those rounds too. I shoot them in a Desert Eagle, which needs a diet of pretty hot loads to reliably function the action and these deliver with it.

Primers do make a difference! Take your favorite pet load(s) and sample several different primers and see!The Remington 9 1/2’s and CCI BR’s have consistently proven to be the most accurate loads I’ve assembled. Federal Match and Winchester LR come in slightly behind and I no longer bother with the rest.

I have no complaints. These primers work well for me, with almost zero misfires!
